Genuine Care
Psychiatric care grounded in real attention, respect, and human connection.
This assessment is typically conducted over two extended sessions to allow time for careful listening, detailed history-taking, and thoughtful formulation. Where appropriate, I liaise with your GP or psychologist, organise relevant investigations, and may seek collateral information to ensure clarity and safety. The aim is not simply to provide a diagnosis, but to arrive at a clear and personalised treatment plan.
Learn moreIntegrative Psychotherapy
Psychiatric care that addresses both symptoms and the underlying psychological patterns that sustain them.
Psychotherapy may be short-term and focused, or longer-term and exploratory, depending on your needs and goals. My approach integrates psychodynamic understanding, trauma-informed principles, and evidence-based techniques such as cognitive behavioural therapy(CBT) and motivational enhancement therapy (MET). The work is collaborative and reflective, aimed at deepening insight, strengthening emotional regulation, and fostering lasting change.
Learn moreInpatient Psychiatric Treatment
Structured inpatient care when additional support and monitoring are required.
During periods of significant distress, risk, or functional decline, private hospital admission may be recommended. I am able to provide active management throughout admission, with a focus on stabilisation, safety, and restoration of function. I see patients 2-3 times per week and work closely with our inpatient nursing and psychology team. Discharge planning and follow-up are carefully coordinated to ensure continuity and support beyond the hospital setting.
Learn moreMedication Management and Review
Careful, evidence-based prescribing delivered collaboratively and with close follow-up.
Medication is considered thoughtfully, with attention to benefits, potential side effects, physical health factors, and your long-term goals. Decisions are made together, not imposed. Where appropriate, medication is integrated alongside psychotherapy and lifestyle strategies to support sustained and meaningful improvement.
Learn moreGP Liaison and Coordinated Care
Clear communication and coordinated care with your treating team.
I prioritise timely correspondence and, where appropriate, direct contact with your GP and other providers involved in your care. Effective treatment depends on collaboration, and I value the depth of knowledge that GPs have about their patients. This coordinated approach helps ensure your care is consistent, safe, and aligned across settings.
Learn moreMedico-Legal Assessment and Report
Independent psychiatric assessments for legal, insurance, and employment-related matters.
Medico-legal assessments are conducted thoroughly and objectively, with careful review of documentation and detailed clinical interview. Reports are structured, clear, and reasoned. This work is undertaken separately from therapeutic treatment roles to maintain professional integrity and impartiality.
